Do it yourself baby mobile template, construction photos to follow.
Bold Black & White (and red) is supposedly all the rage for baby brain growth, as seen here at thinkingfun dot com. Obviously it’s total rubbish (the brain growth part), but no denying that babies love staring at high contrast edges.
However, as sticking and gluing is so much fun (and can make certain other children feel more involved) here’s a quick mobile hack.

OK, I’ve had it with security guards. This is a refinery in Long Beach, CA. I’m shooting this from the middle of a public street. 50 yards from their property and as soon as I set my tripod down, A security guard pulled up behind me. The guard was reporting my every move to someone on the other end of a 2-way radio. "what do you think you’re doing?" "you can’t be taking pictures here" "why are you taking pictures of private property?"
I know, I know "He’s just doing his job." To that I say bullshit. "911" "terrorists want to blow up Long Beach" bla, bla bla. To him I say this; Look DB, you put up a giant flag as a spectacle. Didn’t you think people would take pictures? yes, of course you did, that’s why you put it up. If you want to preach "fighting to secure America" then go back to school and study the very constitution that you are spitting on by telling me I can’t take a picture on a public street. Then come back and fight for my rights. The same rights that are the backbone of this country. Not "kicking-ass, cheeseburgers and Chevy trucks." F$ #%&*^ Douche bag. OK, I’m done now.

got the same kind of runaround in Oxnard at the power station..pissed me off as well!!!…by the way …great capture!!!!!….. I don’t think terrorists use tripods!!!!

I dealt with security not to long ago, but I actually was on private property where there were not fences. Security practically escorted me to my car. I told the guy, that if I and other photographers are a high threat then they should put a fence up to keep people like me out.

Neil, you so did not disappoint me when I looked for "douchebag" in the tags, ha. And you are probably still mad, and I would be too. Ridiculous crap…you should get as many photographers together as you can to set up their tripods there all at one time! After all, nothing more american than oil..that’s the message they are sending, right!?!?
